Learn to live like the ancient Mayans throughout the week with activities and performances for adults and children inspired by regional history and culture.

The All Nature Experience is a unique interactive program that allows guests to discover the Mayan culture on distinctive natural surroundings.  At Sandos Caracol Nature Resort & Water Park, the All Nature Experience is a way of being, living and thinking. Weekly activities program include daily eco tours, swimming a a cenote (natural sink hole), photo safari, bicycle tour, sensory experience, Mayan ball game, Sandos survivor and Mayan survivor, nature trails and meditation sessions on the beach. Witness Mayan representative ceremonies, visit a Mayan herb garden, plant indigenous plant species and participate in natural treatments and ancient rituals at the spa.  

Guest are welcome to participate in All Nature Experience events, Adventure activities, Nature activities, Flora and Fauna sessions and Eco Education.  Activities for the entire family are at your disposal.

At least one adult of 18 years of age or older must be present in each room upon check-in.

The hotel does not allow groups of students nor spring breakers.  Youth up to 20 years old are only admitted when accompanied by an adult sharing the same room
 
The minimum age for check-in is 21 years.

Environmental Sanitation Fees are payable in local currency directly to the hotels.  As these fees fluctuate by hotel, you may contact your respective hotel for more information on the applicable fees.

Effective immediately, guests will be able to make reservations at the à la carte restaurants at Sandos Caracol Nature Resort & Water Park based on the number of nights stay as follows:

  • Stays of 3-4 nights : 1 reservation
  • Stays of 5-6 nights: 2 reservations
  • Stays of 7-8 nights: 3 reservations

For every two nights beyond the first 7 nights, an additional reservation will be added at any of the a la carte restaurants.

Select Club Adults Only Guests: Can make 3 reservations regardless of the length of their stay at the hotel. Additionally, one more reservation can be granted for every two additional nights.

Reservations are subject to availability.

Room service is no longer offered. In place of room service, Sandos Caracol Nature Resort & Water Park now offers guests 24-hour dining at El Nido. Note: alcohol service ends at 2 am. Hours of El Nido are:

• Breakfast: 07:00 - 10:30 am
• Lunch (Taquería): 11:30 - 10:00 pm
• Dinner: 11:00 pm - 06:00 am

The water park will be closed every Tuesday for routine maintenance. However, during holidays we may choose to keep the water park open.

In an effort to enhance the guest experience and offer a more personalized service within each resort, access between Sandos Caracol Nature Resort & Water Park and Sandos Playacar—as well as the use of day passes between the two properties—has been discontinued. 

Work will begin May 13/25 to replace the natural palapa with an artificial palapa in the front area of the lobby. The work is anticipated to last approximately 5 weeks. A wall has been installed to conceal the work area. 
During this time...

• The Concierge area will be relocated to the two desks in front of the reception, along the mural wall.
• The reception will operate as usual.Guest access will be redirected to the rear side of the lobby, through the Bar Elefante terrace.
• The Seek & Go desks, bellboy stand, and scooter and taxi points will also be relocated.

There will be little to no noise pollution over these dates and aside from what is noted above, everything will operate at the resort as normal.

Taking advantage of the lower occupancy during the month of September, & October,  the Select Club areas at Sandos Caracol Nature Resort & Water Park will close temporarily so that some internal improvements to the adults-only areas can be carried out.

Starting Sunday, September 7, the adults only Select Club areas (room blocks, pool, reception, and restaurant) temporarily close for deep cleaning and refreshing.

Arrangements are being made to ensure that guests currently booked in these categories will have as little disruption as possible by making the following operational changes: 

• Guests with existing Select Club reservations will be relocated to Eco Family Collection rooms that will be strategically located away from families with kids to ensure their privacy. In addition, these rooms will now be located closer to the beach and to the adults only beach club, K'iin, which will remain open and operating as normal. 
• Riviera Restaurant, which is located in front of the beach, will be designated adults only for breakfast and lunch, providing breathtaking views of the Caribbean.
• The Tortuga Pool will be reserved for use by adults only.

Given that there continues to be adults only areas including rooms, an exclusive adult only restaurant for breakfast and lunch, a designated separate pool for adults only, and all the other aspects of the adults only Select Club will remain open as normal, the impact on guests will be minimal.  The staff will be working closely with guests to ensure their happiness and satisfaction.

Guests booked in the Superior Select Club Adults Only category travelling in September and October 2025 will be assigned in ECO Family Superior rooms in the temporary Select Club Section.
